Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, ketchup, egg, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a lightly greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
